New member of 32CSM recieves threat

A new member of the 32 County Sovereignty Movement in the North Armagh area was this week visited by the PSNI and warned that he was under threat from "dissident republicans".

This member was formerly a member of another group and it is our belief that this "warning" was fabricated in an attempt by the British police force and intelligence services to sew distrust between republicans in the area.

Republicanism in North Armagh has experienced a growth in recent times especially amongst the youth and it is obvious that the British are not prepared to sit back and watch this happen.

If anyone else from any republican group receives similar threats we would urge them to treat these as highly dubious and to make them public immediately.

We have been assured by the group to which this man formerly belonged that they know of no threat to him and we take their word for it, knowing that no republicans would be stupid enough to play along to the tune of MI5.

Finally the 32 County Sovereignty Movement would call for increased unity amongst all republican groups as incidents such as this could be more quickly resolved and dismissed within such a framework, but most importantly republicanism as a whole could only be strengthened by becoming united on the issues on which we agree.
